Like Lewis, Brooks was a skilled writer with a nose for compelling financial stories.īrooks's most famous book, Business Adventures, has stood the test of time it was on Bill Gates's 2014 summer reading list-45 years after it first appeared. It is fitting that Michael Lewis wrote the foreword to an earlier reissue of John Brooks's 1973 book The Go-Go Years: The Drama and Crashing Finale of Wall Street's Bullish 60s (just republished by Open Road Integrated Media). ![]()
